What is so scary about marketing?
I asked this question to some of my clients and there are two words that come up again and again. Time and confidence, in particular for the digital side of marketing.
The majority of my clients know what they need to be doing, or they know they need to be doing something, they just don’t have the time and, in some cases, confidence in their ability, so marketing ends up getting pushed to one side. And who isn’t guilty of putting off something on the list that they know will take them time or that they are unsure of? We all have something on the list that has been there longer than it should.
You are a specialist in your business and your time is better spent leading and running your business and building your client relationships, doing what you are best at. It makes sense really. You wouldn’t ask a jockey to fix your plumbing or a butcher to cut your hair.
So at this time of year I’m asking you to not be afraid of marketing, its not that scary (really!)
